Sažetak
In recent years, the scope of digital medieval content has increased significantly. This growing industry greatly influences not only the everyday life and leisure, but also the work of historians and history students. As a large body of users within the industry of digital medieval content, history students can be considered a separate category of users, as they are, mainly, already profiled historians with significant knowledge of the Middle Ages. This fact has also been recognized by university teachers ; therefore, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of digital media and digitalised history content, especially medieval, intended for educational purposes came into particular focus. The aim of this presentation is to showcase the results of a research conducted among history students at the undergraduate and graduate level at universities in the Republic of Croatia. The research aimed to discover which digital content on the Middle Ages the students encountered and used, to what extent they are satisfied with its quality, if it is widely available to the student population, whether they think it contributes to their learning, and how they would improve certain content or develop similar ones. In addition, the correlation of sociodemographic structure with variables related to digital medieval content will be presented, with emphasis on films, videogames, music, and so on. This presentation aims to cast light on the frequency of use of digital medieval content among history students, their satisfaction, and opportunities for improvement, to develop the content of the highest quality for the users.
