Sažetak
Based on previous experiences with production of indefinite chill iron rolls and problems connected to it appropriate measures were taken in the preparation of casting of the shaped (grooved) rolls. Casting technology was modified and chemical composition was suitably changed. Fitness of the undertaken changes in moulding and casting technology was detremined on the basis of microstructure and hardness testing of the produced shaped roller.
