Sažetak
This paper offers a critical analysis of the mainstream view that in the natural sciences, unlike mathematics, the underlying logic within the context of justification is induction. We are going to question such a view and offer reasons and examples for endorsing the idea that the natural sciences are analogous to mathematics even concerning the context of justification. We compare the process of justification in these two fields of research with a special emphasis on recent analysis of the logic and methods behind what is called induction in the natural sciences by the philosopher of science J. D. Norton.
