Sažetak
Background: Kidney cancer is, due to its high mortality and increasing incidence, one o f the most significant tumors o f the urogenital system. Kidney cancer accounts for about 3% o f all malignancies in adults and is the most deadly malignant tumor o f the entire urotract Kidney cancer is one o f the first cancers in which has been used immunotherapy, primarily IL- 2 and interferon-?, in the treatment o f metastatic disease. Targeted therapy acts primarily on angiogenesis. Intracellular signal transduction has brought in last ten years a significant modification o f the treatment o f kidney cancer, especially metastatic, wit h a significant increase in patient survival. A i m o f the study: To examine the presence of certain lymphocyte subpopulations in the peripheral blood of patients with renal cell cancer (T lymphocytes, N K cells, NK T cells, Tregs, B lymphocytes) and healthy control. Patients and methods: The peripheral blood of 15 patients with renal cell carcinoma (experimental group) and the second group o f 30 healthy voluntary blood donors (control group) have been analyzed. Peripheral venous blood were taken immediately before surgery and analyzed on a flow cytometer by im munofluorescence. Results and conclusion: Preliminary results indicate that patients wit h renal cell carcinoma have decreased values o f innate immune cells in peripheral blood. Further research is necessary.
