Sažetak
In the recent years, there have been many modifications on all levels of Automatic Generation Control (AGC) system in Croatia. Firstly, the type of active power setpoint that is being sent to power plants was changed from relative to absolute. Secondly, Croatian Transmission System Operator actively joined International Grid Control Cooperation for imbalance netting in Europe. After that, in National Control Centre, a pilot project for new AGC application was put into operation. The pilot should have checked whether the application contains all required functionalities, was it adaptable to user-specific demands and could it be operated within new market environment that was recently imposed by ENTSO-e. Finally, a new middle level of control was put in AGC’s hierarchy with the introduction of Generation centre West.
