Sažetak
Author examines historical and legal aspects of the presence of religious symbols in the public sphere in Croatia and comes to conclusion that the period of socialist rule brake down presence of religious elements within public domain (schools, universities, hospitals, penitentiaries etc.). Despite the fact that Croatia is a secular state, there would be place for religious elements in the public at least for cultural and historical values, especially taken into account that Republic of Croatia adopted cooperation model of regulation of church-state relations (religious communities-state relations). Of course, presence of religious symbols in the public sphere needs to be adequate regulated.
