Sažetak
Velocity field disturbances at the inflow to the runner of a turbine caused by the stay and guide vanes alter the vibroacoustic cavitation signature. The telltale amplitude modulation can be a means to identify the incipient, weak, or moderate cavitation related to each vane/runner blade pair. An application of this method is presented identifying the turbine parts responsible for the increase of cavitation predicted when uprating a 60 MW Kaplan turbine.
