Sažetak
This chapter presents the results of the study in which we set out to explore the role of context in the development of plurilingual identity by approaching it from the perspective of the conceptual dichotomy between 'agency and 'structure. We performed an inductively-based analysis of the narratives of study abroad with the aim to explore (i) the dimensions of context that are made relevant by the students (in terms of their importance in shaping plurilingual identity) and (ii) the particular conversational themes through which those levels become relevant in the course of the interviews. The data come from interviews with 13 non-language majors in three locations in Southern Europe (Limassol, Lleida and Split). The analysis has yielded five dimensions of context.
