Sažetak
Among many remains of mediaeval coin hoards in the Zagreb Archaeological Museum Numismatic Collection there is a parcel containing Hungarian denars, belonging to a hoard, undug in the twenties or thirties of the twentieth century. It is unknown when and where exactly the hoard was found, the only piece of information written on the parcel was that the coins came from Sarajevo and that they were purchased from a Mrs. Terezija Sever from Zagreba. This must have occured at the time when the Zagreb numismatic collection was entrusted to Josip Klemenc (*1898+1967). There is no trace of this acquisition either in the main inventory, or the museum archives. In the parcel (list 50/1947 No.157 ; Main inventory of the numismatic collection No.1097) containing coins sold by T.Sever there were 21 specimens of silver coins: five are slightly later and well-preserved grossi from another hoard, one denar was struck by Matthias I. Corvinus of Hungary (1458-1490 ; Rethy 233A ; Unger 566i). The remains of the Zarajevo hoard therefore consist of 15, rather worn, specimens struck by Charles I.Robert (1307?1342) of Hungary. Two types are represented: Rethy 15 / Unger 394 (Cat.Nos.1-6) and Rethy 18 / Unger 393 (Ca.Nos.7-15), marked with various letters. In addition the author mentioned several contemporary coin hoards from Bosnia.
