Sažetak
Modern business conditions are increasingly demanding and numerous companies in different business areas are looking for ways to efficiently reduce costs. The adopted cost management strategy involves outside companies or individuals used to perform a particular business, i.e. in organizations, for specific and defined activities outsourcing is used. Outsourcing is based on the concept of externalizing the activities as the companies have always hired specific associates outside a company and maintained business contacts. Outsourcing brings a number of benefits to organizations, not only those related to cost reduction or money saving ; outsourcing as such falls into the category of the most significant business trends of today. By using a middle-sized company engaged in the wood products processing and production and internal and external furniture trade as an example, three different activities for which the company uses 400 outsourcing are presented. Factors that have influenced the company to use outsourcing for the entire IT system and two activities in the processing of finished products, together with all the advantages and disadvantages, are used to give a short theoretical analysis of the elements necessary for further cost-benefit analysis.
