Sažetak
The idea that language evolution is basically a restructuring process completely determined by internal and external ecological factors and that a group of languages commonly considered Creoles can be used to prove this hypothesis is the key topic of the book under revision. "The Ecology of Language Evolution" is a collection of five esseys previously published and presented in the order in which they were written. The other three chapters that bridge the gaps and provede further clarifications were added. Each of the esseys develops the same basic idea and focuses on the specific aspect of Creole development and language evolution in general. Some provide a theoretical framework and others concentrate on specific examples in the linguistic history.
