Sažetak
This study deals with the problems of the development of legal terminology and translation in Croatian and Russian languages. The purpose of this research is a contrastive analysis of the similarities and differences between two legal systems and languages, during the period from 1917 until the first decade of the 21st century. This study deals with the major changes in both legal systems and considers how geopolitical changes influenced the language policies and legal terminology in both states. The author focused on qualitative analyses to make a diachronic and synchronic cross-analysis of changes in the legal terminology in the legal documents. The author presents representative terms, which marked that period and explains the reasons for such a change. Sources for this research are the Constitution, legal documents, and newspapers, showing the similarities and differences between two legal and language systems.
