Sažetak
The focus of this paper is on the achievements of learning outcomes in relation to the teaching process on the HE level, which in the midst of the conditions caused by the global pandemic, has been transformed from hybrid model to completely online. Learning outcomes are the basis for evaluation of the course level, study programme curriculum, awarded qualification and the final competencies. Hence, in this paper the course syllabuses represent starting point as a document which specifies learning outcomes and what should be generated through the derived content and evaluated through predefined elements of evaluation. Achieving these learning outcomes in the vast majority of cases is planned in the real class environment. The context of mentoring and supervising students in achieving these outcomes has changed (which is now fully virtual) but syllabuses still retain their default distribution. To find out more about the learning outcomes achievements the authors have conducted the online survey among the students of three different HE institutions and only among graduate students (EQF level 7) who are more familiar with learning outcomes and have experience on HEI quality assurance procedures. The focus of the conducted survey was on students’ asessment of three different models of teaching performance: full online, in the classroom and in the classroom with live stream (not blended). The results show that students evaluate differently the effectiveness of the teaching model in the period before the pandemic and at the time when the performance model is imposed through the online model (during the pandemic). Still, outside these pandemic circumstances, according to the student perception, one of the analyzed models of teaching has evident deviation in its performance in relation to the success in achieving prescribed learning outcomes. Also, the results show great diversity and inconsistency from course to course which, together with all the other conclusions, point to questioning the ways in which learning outcomes can be achieved in the online learning environment and to the need for stronger institutional framework for achieving a higher quality of teaching in online environment.
