Sažetak
This article gives an overview of possible future trends in marine and navy technology and education of mariners. We considered advences in areas such as: optical networks, nanotechnology, automatics, navigation, computer hardware and software, design, simulation, superconductivity and virtual technologies. The role of education is vitally important, because the learning process should incorporete creative learning and application of imagination in new design based on new technologies.
