Sažetak
The primary aim of this research is to check the sensitivity and objectivity of newly formed test for the assessment of performing knowledge of technical elements with clubs through the second, motor, phase of learning at the level of introductory sports training. The secondary aim of the research is to define the groups of gymnasts on the basis of technical elements, performing with clubs, and to establish the characteristics of the obtained groups through 23 standard tests for the assessment of morphological characteristics. On the basis of success in performing the elements with clubs, applying the hierarchical cluster analysis (Ward's method, Euclidean distances), two groups of examinees were obtained: the less successful ones (N1 = 25) and the better ones (N2 = 30) in performing the required motor knowledge with clubs. The results of discriminative analysis show that the gymnasts with better performance (N2) have less subcutaneous fat tissue, they are taller, have longer extremities and bigger dimensions of feet and particularly of hands. The girls with markedly longitudinal dimensionality of skeleton, and with particularly expressed dimensionality of hands, are able to acquire and perform the technical elements with clubs more quickly and more successfully in rhythmic gymnastics, especially during the initial phase when learning to handle the apparatus.
