Sažetak
The widespread availability of sensor data allows the development of data-driven forecasting models that can complement regular forecasting techniques used in meteorology. Many of these data is still unused or not used enough. Teleconnections are spatial patterns in the atmosphere that link weather and climate anomalies over large distances across the globe. This paper examines the influence of two atmospheric teleconnections (Arctic Oscillation (AO) and North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO)) on weather patterns in continental Croatia. Hypothesis is that better forecasts can be achieved by combining teleconnection data with data locally available on meteorological stations.
