Sažetak
Most efforts in the current CAD (CBD) research projects are directed towards developing new generations of CAD systems which should support and integrate the whole design process and should also enable implementation of AI methods. The presented approach to the development of Intelligent CAD system (ICAD) is proposed as a flexible environment which acts as a designers apprentice. Such environment should enable the designer to use and integrate available software tools, and particularly important, it should also provide support for the design process control. The design process control is realized by using design plan - a collection of script-like complex data structures. Design plan serves as the basis for controlling the sequence of applications execution and also for managing the data flow and elements of the integrated environment for the design process support. Exploitation of proposed design environment model consists of two main off-line phases: defining and generating a plan, and then, executing the plan. This article is focused on modelling a procedure for defining and generating design plans. For this purpose, database structures and software tools for storing, retrieving, generating and connecting design plans elements have been developed and realized as a prototype.
