Sažetak
Introduction and Aim: The Covid-19 infection can cause changes on many organs during acute period (1, 2). The postcovid gastrointestinal maifestations are still during observation and evaluation. The aim of this case report is to present the case report with the relationship of infection on changes of bowell and anorectum peristaltic activity in post COVID-19 infection period. Methods: We present the male patient 70 years old who had mild form pof COVID-19 infection. About 1 month after acute infection the patient presented with diarrheačl syndrome and with fecal incontinence. The microbiological samples on bacterial, parasitar, viral and micotic infection were negative. The fecal calprotectine and CRP were in normal range. The colonoscopy with histological analysis excluded microscopic colitis. After that patient underwent to anorectzal manometry. We used the MMS Solar HRM- 360° system using 24 channel perfusion catheter in anorectal manometry. The anorectal manometry procedure and resluts were performed and analysed according to London protocol (3). Results: We detected normal resting pressure of 45mm Hg, normal anal canal length, anal squeeze under lower limit of normal value of 70mmHg, on rectoanal inhibitory reflex test value of 64% of relaxation, balloon expulsion test was negative with decreese of anal pressure during push test. Sensation test had 3 of 4 sensory parameters above upper limit. Conclusion: This case indicate the possible influence of SARS-CoV-2 infection on colon and anprectal function integrity. The further research is needed in order to confirm the preliminary results and elucidate the possible mechanisms.
