Sažetak
When thinking about the breakup of Yugoslavia and the bloody wars that followed it, the destruction of Monuments to the People’s Liberation Struggle and the Socialist Revolution certainly points out to the political and ideological struggles which brought about the breakup. At the same time the prevalent number of destroyed monuments brings to light the more structural and complex causes which cannot be surmised either as war collaterals or as a simple case of damnatio memoria.
