Sažetak
In the 1990s, the process of transition, in the conditions of globalisation, caused many political, economic, social and other changes of the former planned economies. The economy restructuring process is a key part of the transition process and a necessary pre-requisite for the closer approach to the more developed countries. In those years, the Croatian economy entered the process of transition, as well. The acceleration of restructuring process is thus the precondition of its further development. Starting from this point, the aim of the paper was to analyse the selected features of the restructuring process of the Croatian economy during the 1990s. With regard to the observed low intensity of structural changes, the authors indicate the necessary future trends in the Croatian economy as a pre-requisite for the Croatian approach to the &#8220 ; knowledge society&#8221 ; .
