Sažetak
Aircraft noise has a substantial effect on aircraft occupant health ; thus it is necessary to measure its level and characteristics. Because of different physical, as well as performance characteristics of each aircraft model, it is required to perform in-flight measurements in order to obtain accurate noise data. The measurement equipment shall be capable of measuring very high noise levels over a broad frequency spectrum, in accordance with the standardized A-weighting scale. The measurement background noise, as well as meteorological data shall also be taken into account. The results can then be used to compare ear protection equipment, or for various calculations important to airmen, such as daily noise exposure levels.
