Sažetak
This paper analyzes and compares the theoretical settings and potential physically-based understanding of the existing and the innovative theoretical framework of the Earth's macro-energy system consisting of the Sun as the primary source of radiation energy, the Earth's atmosphere as its gas envelope and Earth as an energy accumulator in such an energy- balanced system. Also, the mathematical-physical bases of the respective theoretical frameworks are compared and the potential physical consequences arising from those models are explained, as well as the resulting energy equilibria and/or imbalances as well as temperature matching and/or inconsistencies according to the existing measurement data. The results of the comparisons suggest a re-examination of the existing understanding of the role and the functioning of the atmosphere in the Earth's macro-energy system.
