Sažetak
Soil erosion has a significant impact on water flow and water regime, and therefore impacting water balance and water quality in the sloped areas. Many vineyards are located at hillslope locations due to favorable exposure, climatic conditions and hydropedological characteristics. Field observations (lysimeters, soil sensors) and laboratory analyses (HYPROP) was used to experimentally determine soil hydraulic parameters (SHPs) of the soil along the slope, which represents the first step in determining the water flow and soil water regime. The research was conducted in a vineyard on Stagnosol with vine rows being set up parallel with a slope (11%). Additionally, infiltration was measured using a mini-disc infiltrometers on the soil surface (Ap horizon) and on top of the subsoil horizon (Bt) at three position (top, middle and bottom). The results of surface infiltration measurements did not show significant differences in the hydraulic conductivity while the results of the sub-surface measurements indicated significant differences in the hydraulic conductivity in unsaturated conditions with respect to the position on the slope. These results were also confirmed by the laboratory HYPROP method for determining SHPs. The SHPs were clearly different of investigated Ap and Bt horizons at the different position on the slope. The SHPs showed large variability in evenly managed vineyard soil which is directly attributed to soil erosion processes. Sensors and wick lysimeters placed at the top and bottom positions also shown similar behavior i.e., increased soil moisture at the bottom position compared to top. The same was confirmed with wick lysimeters which had increased water outflow at the bottom.
