Sažetak
This retrospective multicenter study discussed the results of the study by Mancuso S, et al. which has reported that the increasing number of cardiovascular risk factors in patients with polycythemia vera (PV) may be associated with an inferior overall survival. We discuss the importance of cardiovascular risk factors in the management of PV patients, comment on the methodological issues of the original study, and present our own data which has suggested different conclusions.
