Sažetak
Many commentators held that the absence of women writers in the first three volumes of the Field Day Anthology of Irish Writing was due to the group's focus on Ireland's colonial experience. This paper argued that this is most evident in the way in which the history of translation in Ireland is foreignised in the Anthology's Preface.
