Sažetak
This paper deals with the determination of optimal tooth height in high transverse contact ratio involute spur gearing regarding high contact ratio and low Hertzian stress. Based on the realistic load distribution, the Hertzian stress along the path of contact has been calculated using various values of the HCR tooth height. As a result, some recommendations for the choice of convenient HCR tooth height offering high transverse contact ratio and low Hertzian stress have been given. The results are compared with the calculation according to the German Standard DIN 3990.
