Sažetak
This chapter investigates the relationship between college students' level of engagement and participation in the planning and development of a service learning experience and their perceptions of the value gained by the experience. Data was collected through a survey of students (N=62) who participated in an ecological cleanup activity connected to a college course. Results indicate that students who were more directly involved in the design and organization of the event perceived a higher value from the experience.
