Sažetak
An empirical analysis aiming to answer the research question “does financial regulation affect economic success?” Focusing on the United States. The primary agent for regulation is Congress and regulates through legislative acts. The Federal Reserve System and its twelve districts supervise that the regulation is put into action. In order to answer this question the method was to go case by case from the most important legislative acts passed by Presidents and Congress to see how regulatory policies affected the economy. It is proven that regulation is a very delicate subject that is hard to measure but indirectly sets the tone for the entirety of an economy because of its role with the banking sector. It starting from decision making of Congress consumers saves or spends on in aggregate level. Lastly this paper will identify the most suitable professions to further successful regulations.
