Sažetak
Algorithms for face detection in an image find their usage in a wide range of industrial applications. In this paper, a popular Viola-Jones algorithm for face detection is described using Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL). The proposed digital design is synthesized and implemented in ZYBO ZYNQ 7010 System on Chip (SoC) FPGA. The proposed design can process different image resolutions with minimal changes in the design. The evaluation of the proposed solution confirms the correctness of the implementation and possibility to use the proposed design in many applications requiring cost-efficient and real-time face detection.
