Sažetak
This paper presents the results of a field research conducted to determine the attitudes of Croatian language teachers and foreign language teachers teaching students in the upper grades of primary school toward the frequency and motivation of the use of information and communication technologies in teaching. A total of 201 respondents participated in the research (Croatian language teachers N = 106, foreign language teachers N = 95). The results showed that Croatian language teachers use information and communication technologies more often in teaching and that there is no statistically significant difference in the motivation for the implementation of digital media in teaching between these two groups of respondents. There was no statistically significant difference in the frequency of the use of information and communication technologies and the motivation for its implementation with regard to the age of the respondents and the location of the school. The research results indicate the motivation of Croatian language teachers and foreign language teachers to use information and communication technologies in teaching, which grows proportionally with the perceived support provided by principals and professional associates in the education system.
