Sažetak
The optimization of the contact rolling means the leading of the process having optimum closed loop values and stohastic values in order to achieve the maximum foil flatness, lubricant viscosity or the minimum value of foil thickness tolerance zone etc. The quality of the solution obtained by GA is influenced by objective function, size of function domain, required precision, population size, genetic and crossover probabilities, number of iterations, etc. Strong selective pressure"supports" the premature convergence of the GA search, and vice versa. The premature convergence to a local optimum is common problem of genetic algorithm and the other optimization algorithms (linear programing, evolutionary optimization). The problem is choosing the shortest way to reach the optimum usually becomes more complex when several significant factors and/or interaction exist, i.e. when one more variable has to be introduced. The applied genetic algorithm can be used during model investigations of the considered values as a prerequiste for defining the possibilities and limitations of the optimization of contact rolling.
