Sažetak
The effects of globalization have led to the increased necessity for internationalization of higher education. The global COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift to online teaching and distance learning. These changes have challenged the traditional operation of higher education institutions in the area of teaching methodology and the implementation of student mobility. More than ever before these two areas have been overlapping since the onset of the pandemic with the introduction of virtual mobility as virtually the only mobility option available in some periods of the pandemic. This paper presents the methodology implemented in a virtual tandem course that was offered to a group of Greek and Croatian students as a joint online course. Furthermore, the paper presents the results of the post-survey conducted among the students involved in the course and the description of the steps involved in the organization of virtual tandem courses.
