Sažetak
Number of cleft palate patients is not negligible. Prosthodontic treatment of such patients requires good planning that takes into account all remaining teeth and roots, deformation of maxillary segments, residual palatal defects, and the disproportion between the maxillary and mandibular alveolar ridge, with the aim to provide satisfactory function, esthetics and alleviation of the deformities. Prosthetic appliances used in 10-years period of cleft palate patients' prosthetic treatments at our Clinic were recorded. They included root copings, attachments, telescopic and veneer crowns with rests, and metal base partial prostheses, etc. The aim of this study was to determine the most widely used prosthetic appliances in order to give less experienced dentists guidelines for successful and appropriate treatment modalities.
