Sažetak
The paper presents pencil beams which are optimum in L1-sense. A convex optimization program for their design is provided. The presented pencil beams exhibit maximum sidelobe level of approximately -21 dB for all array sizes and the lobes that monotonically decrease as the azimuth angle increases. The dynamic range ratio of excitation coefficients increases linearly with the number of elements and generally takes low values.
