Sažetak
The design of antenna arrays with constrained dynamic range ratio (DRR) of excitation coefficients simplifies the array's feeding network and reduces mutual coupling between antenna elements. However, constraining the DRR pushes small coefficients to larger values, thus deteriorating the array pattern. The deterioration can be reduced if some coefficients are allowed to take zero values, resulting in a sparse design. This work considers both of these approaches. Furthermore, it presents a global optimization of nonsparse and sparse linear antenna arrays with constrained dynamic range ratio of excitation coefficients.
