Sažetak
When it comes to the treatment of dental trauma, procedure does not end with urgent procedure, i.e. providing first aid. Even if some traumas look rather simple at first sight, they can develop into a major problem if the tooth is not adequately followed-up after the first aid was provided. The reactions of the organism to the traumatized teeth are very different, so the range of outcomes following the trauma is large. Numerous cases prove that teeth that have experienced trauma are not being monitored (followed-up) appropriately or at all, this kind of teeth easily can be lost. Tooth loss can be prevented with timely intervention if on the regular follow-up visits emergence of complications is discovered This lecture covers the procedures that are necessary to be followed in the visits that emergency treatment in the case of dental trauma of immature premanent teeth. It will restate basic types of injuries and healing processes of periodontal ligament and pulp. Something will be said about complications and cosequences of dental injuries. At the end special atention will be paid to procedures that should be done during the follow-up visits after the first aid was provided until the end of therapy.
