Sažetak
The reaction of PGS, PVS and DFME PGS with sodium borate buffer pH 12.3 and copper sulphate pentahydrate yielded products having the UV apsorption maximum at 280 nm. The UV method was developed for the determination of these penicillin sulfoxides at ambient temperature. The proposed method is rapid, sensitive and accurate. The presence of potassium salts of penicillin G and penicillin V in equimolar amounts to the corresponding penicillin sulfoxides applying the described procedure gave negligible intereference.
