Sažetak
A mathematical model of heat transfer by radiation and convection in the furnace has been developed. The furnace operation has been researched for fuel combustion with enriched air containing 21-100 % of oxygen. It has been determined that the contribution of convection to heat transfer in the heating zones of the furnace is 5-6 %, and it increases to 14-18 % at the beginning of preheating zone. Carrying out the calculations of metal heating neglecting convection leads to the emergence of relative errors in calculating the temperature fields of metal and flue gases.
