Sažetak
The paper presents an analytical transform of a pencil to the flat-top beampattern. The transform imposes maximal flatness at the beam peak by modifying the original excitation coefficients with a second-order polynomial. This transform is suitable for the synthesis of narrow flat-top beampatterns. As an example, a simple closed-form method for the synthesis of flat-top Gaussian beampatterns is provided.
