OECD Anti-Bribery Convention ; Croatian legal and institutional framework, accession criteria, potential reform opportunities in Croatia
Sažetak
To join the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, a country’s legal and institutional anti-corruption framework must meet a set of defined criteria. A decision to accede to the Convention can thus spur a series of reforms ranging from stronger criminal offences and corporate liability laws to enhancing the prevention and detection of bribery through whistleblowing. This roundtable session will consider the Convention’s accession criteria, other countries’ experience when acceding to the Convention, and potential reform opportunities in Croatia (moderator: Mr. William Loo, Deputy Head, OECD Anti-Corruption Division).
