Sažetak
In developed market economies of the EU entrepreneurship is important factor of economic development. In most countries it sets economic development in motion and it is closely connected to intensive changes in technology, economy and politics, as well as society cultural and institutional achievements. Rich institutional and organisational structure in function of entrepreneurial development is characteristic only for developed market economies. Unlike them, most countries joining the EU, including Republic of Croatia, have only few general institutions in function of entrepreneurship. In order to catch up with developed EU countries, Republic of Croatia has to create certain prerequisites for faster development of entrepreneurship, and during the process use knowledge and experience of developed countries, as well as support entrepreneurial concept and develop entrepreneurial culture. This paper will deal with a subject of some basic prerequisites for development of entrepreneurship in Republic of Croatia, where human potential plays and important part. Those are for example legal, educational, scientific, servicing and other prerequisites. These preconditions can be realized through various institutions, one of them being entrepreneurial incubators. The paper is focused on entrepreneurial incubators role of setting up new small businesses in the Republic of Croatia.
