Sažetak
Nowadays, the problem of air pollution is one of the most significant problems within the field of environmental protection and one of the frequent topics is detection of harmful gases in the air. Although there are classic sensors used to detect harmful gases, due to their improved properties, nanosensors are being developed and used within the Internet of Nano-Things system. Nanosensors collect large amounts of air quality-related data that need to be visualized correctly. Such graphical representations play an important role in complex systems because of the importance of being aware of the process of displaying data clearly to the end user. This paper presents the challenge of visualizing air pollution data while the goal of the paper is to define the role of information visualization in such a system. A wide range of visual, statistical, and mathematical skills is required to display numbers through visualizations, which is why it is important to provide designers with the knowledge related to nanotechnology used in air quality measurement systems and to processes related to displaying large amounts of data. The paper reviews the existing practices and principles related to this topic to better understand this rapidly developing field.
