Sažetak
Physicochemical processes that form the phenomenon of metal corrosion are nonlinear and have areas of chaotic behavior, which causes the formation of corrosion microstructures on the metal with fractal properties. As a result of the research, it has been shown that the metal corrosion process has a pronounced crossover of fractal dimension values. The emergence of which is associated with the beginning of the formation of a loose border of corrosion seat. This effect causes an avalanche-like process of metal corrosion. The proposed method for determining the appearance of a crossover makes it possible to record the moment of a change in the type of corrosion.
