Sažetak
The objective of the paper is to point out the importance of the role of small and medium entrepreneurship in the overall economic growth of the republic of Croatia and an attempt is made to answer the question whether the present entrepreneurial infrastructure contributes to the economic development. Of particular interest is the role of entrepreneurial incubators known in the world for a long time which contribute positively to the development of their business environment. Therefore the hypothesis of the research is that entrepreneurial incubators are one of the elements of institutional support in the function of growth of entrepreneurship in Croatia. The subject of the research are entrepreneurial incubators within the existing support to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the research objective is defined in the sense of establishing the real position and role of entrepreneurial incubators in carrying out their tasks important for survival and growth of small economy. 1.
