Sažetak
The issue of noise and vibrations caused by use of rail vehicles is most prominent in urban areas. Systematic approach to noise and vibrations mitigation starts with the detection of source and with the determination of their intensity and propagation mechanisms. The contri-bution of the track structure in overall emission of noise and vibrations caused by rail vehicle operations is a very important parameter both for infrastructure managers and vehicle manu-facturers. In the article methods for vibro-acoustic characterization of railway tracks de-scribed in CEN/TR 16891:2017 are evaluated for implementation on tramway tracks. These methods are used to determine dynamical properties of the rail track structure and to optimize rail track elements components to contribute to noise and vibration attenuation. The vibro-acoustical behavior of the tram track depends also on the rail pad stiffness. For the needs of this article rail pad stiffness is determined in lab environment and top of rail accelerations on dedicated test sections. Direct measurements of the rail roughness are measured. Sound pres-sure level is measured and correlated with obtained characteristics of the tram track.
