Sažetak
Research projects in a field of dental materials can not be realised without support of a modern microscopy. For a most widely used SEM microscopy samples should be electrically conductive. If not, such samples (e.g. dental veneering materials) should be sputter coated to become visible, but this procedure is time and money consuming. Light microscopy and image analyser Leco L2001 were used to investigate the rise of marginal gap between metal surface and composite veneer. Samples were analyzed after storage in distilled water temperature 37oC for 28 days and thermocycling. Considering the accuracy of the data obtained it can be concluded that image analyser is a device of a great help in dental materials research, and three bonding systems (of four investigated) obstructed the rise of marginal gap thus justifying their use in dental practice.
