Sažetak
Mori-Tanaka's averaging scheme has been employed on the evaluation of the compliance and stiffness of the laminated composites. The overall in-plane properties of the laminate are calculated from those of the laminae. Lamina stresses are related to the stress averages in the constituents by means of the stress-concentration factors defined using Mori-Tanaka's approach. Lamina stress concentration factors have been defined providing the relation between stress tensor in the laminae and laminate. Drucker - Prager failure criterion has been applied on the both constituents thus enabling the identification of different failure modes of which the most important are slit matrix cracks. The stiffness loss due to the appearance of slit crack damage has been taken into account using self-consistent approach based on the Eshelby's model of equivalent inclusions.
