In 1729 Euler invented Gamma function, which was essential for the Fractional Calculus In 1819 Lacroix found formula for fractional derivative of power function In 1822 Fourier found formula for fractional derivative of sinusoidal function In 1823 Abel found first application of fractional calculus with tautochrone problem In 1832 Liouvielle found formula for fractional derivative of exponential function In 1868 Gruenwald-Lietnikov fractional derivative is defined In 1890 Heaviside operational calculus, important step in development of applications for fractional derivatives, specific problems in the theory of electromagnetism, was useful for electrical engineers In 1899 till 1904 Mittag and Leffler invented and studied „Mittag-Leffler functions” (used for solving fractional-order differential equations) In 1967 major development was done by Caputo, who invented Caputo derivative In 1974 first book published and first International Conference In 1990 more book published Till today rapid development of the field …
