Background And Aims Google Trends® provides publicly accessible information regarding search behaviors of the web public which may be studied and used for health campaign evaluation and disease interest monitoring. Methods we analyzed the 2019 annual trend of “Stroke” as search term (in health care subgroup area) via Google Trend® online tool. A circannual trend was designed with Cosinor analysis. Results The relative frequency of searches ranged from 53 on the 50th week of the year, to 100 in the 10th week. The breakout of interest in the annual trend (defined as >5000% of relative increase as in March and July) were associated to celebrities suffering of a Stroke (e.g. Luke Perry and John Singleton). The country with a relative higher interest on Stroke in 2019 was Philippines (urban area of Quezon) followed by US urban areas of Philadelphia and San Antonio. More often the queries associated were dealing with “symptoms” as search term. The circannual trend of relative search volumes (RSV) showed a spring peak (Mesor: 64 ; Acrophase: May ; Amplitude: 4.8 ; low point month: Nov ; zero-amplitude test p value: 0.0018). Conclusions In 2019 the relative web public interest on stroke was the highest ever from available time series. Stroke public awareness campaigns did not show any impact on the web audience.
