In the light of the first ten years of the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, this chapter aims to examine the relationship between two dimensions of the European Union’s (EU) external relations – the economic dimension as ex-pressed through the Common Commercial Policy (ccp), and the security one embodying the Common Foreign and Security Policy (cfsp), as well as some other measures taken by the EU or its Member States.
